Project Scope: Blog Migration from Typepad to Wordpress

The task at hand was to take the existing marketing blog and convert it into a Wordpress driven blog. The reason for this move was the fact that they're existing installation proved to take up lots of unecessary time for changes and maintenance. Styling and various other customizations turned out to be too cumbersome to manage, making Wordpress an even more suitable candidate. We also gave the client on site training, to familiarize them with the new routines.

Beyond the migration and customization of the wordpress theme, we also installed a few other options to help them with their SEM and also to make their site more attractive to visitors. These items included key word tags, video and photo galleries.

We partnered with Wacked Marketing to migrate an existing customized TypePad site over to WordPress. From the beginning of the project, the process went very smoothly. Due to the level of customization of our templates, there was much more work involved in this migration than we realized. Alex helped us through the bumps and documented and explained all of the nuances to us along the way. Alex is extremely knowledgable in this area and offered constant suggestions and solutions throughout the project. We our proud of our work with Pride Carpet Cleaning which consisted of optimizing their design and site flow. Where the old site had confusing menu bar, that left customers scratching their heads, the new layout helped improve the overall site flow. By eliminating redundancy, adding a well designed and more comprised navigation bar, visitors now can easily find the information they're looking for. The client in return is able to easily display the information he feels is most important for his business.

Beyond site flow optimization and streamlining the content, we also produced a flash video featuring the lady that is heard when calling the offices of Pride Carpet Cleaning. Linda was given a script by the owner and after a few hours in a film production studio, the finished product turned out to be something the client was very happy with.
