We're always out on the web, checking out what's new and not just so we can report on it. I personally I'm always on the lookout for great online business tools that I can incorporate into my daily routine. Too often I find myself in a position where I feel that the processes I'm using could be refined, or that a more efficient tool could help bridge the information gap with a client who's office I'm not working from.
Thanks to the great people at mashable.com, I read about a great suite of online business tools and a host of other very intuitive web based applications all under the parent name of "zoho". Zoho has applications such as "Zoho Projects" which I setup today, in order to organize my projects more efficiently. The great thing about Zoho Projects is that it really offers all the features one could ask for in a tool like that. I can create time sheets based on the work I'm performing, add tasks, custom task lists, and these task lists can be saved as templates to be used in other projects, saving a lot of time in terms of the setup and mainteance of the various projects you've got added.
The best thing about Zoho Projects is that its free to use if you're only working on a single project. If you need more than that, you have to sign up for standard, premium or corporate account, with the standard package starting at $12.00 per month. On the other hand if you're managing more than one project and really make use of Zoho, than it will hardly be difficult for you to pay the money to get the extra features, and storage space.
I give Zoho and their entire set of applications a big thumbs up, a great example of how new software development and web design have come together to deliver a truly unique, well structured and useful product.
